Design of large cells
Thanks to the low internal resistance and internal electrolyte cooling, it is possible to design large cells with capacity in an order of magnitude higher than the capacity achievable with existing lithium batteries.
HE3DA batteries undoubtedly have much better safety parameters. They do not burn or explode due to the absence of organic substances (except electrolyte), low internal resistance and the possibility to operate in potentiostatic mode. In the photo you can see the absolutely non-flammable ceramic insulation = separator, which separates ( isolates ) the anode and the cathode. Crash test burn video
HE3DA® technology offers top-notch technical parameters:
Battery system capacity up to over 500 Wh/litre
A kilowatt-hour module provides a maximum output fifteen times higher than the currently used technologies.
Efficiency of over 95%
Life of over 8,000 cycles
Low cell production costs
Simplicity of production processes result in low investment and operating costs
Standard material inputs and the absence of ballast allow low material costs
Low cell installation costs within a high-capacity power supply
Low cooling requirements and internal cooling using electrolyte
Possibility to use the very simple conceptually new battery management system
Low operating costs
Low energy storage costs
Mass use of HE3DA batteries within the energy industry and other sectors
Potential for further development see Use of HE3DA HERE
The 2D lithium battery technology currently in use has reached it maximum technical potential, even though issues in some areas, especially safety, have not yet been resolved. Manufacturers of these batteries now solely focus on reducing the battery costs by implementing the savings resulting from production in giant factories. HE3DA® technology is still at the onset of utilising its capabilities and has major potential for further development.
Current recycling costs reach up to 5% of the battery price and are, in essence, a fee for environment-friendly disposal, not recycling.
HE3DA® batteries are 100% recyclable, which results in significant savings.
